Why Alkawther Steel?

Why Al Kawther Steel? Two reasons...

  • We are an employee first company
  • Steel is fundamental to modern-day life

We are an employee first company:

Our most valuable asset is our people. Acknowledging our distinctive organisational DNA, we work to maintain the entrepreneurial spirit and hunger for excellence that has been the backbone of our growth and is key to our promising future. And wherever we are in the realm of our operations, the safety and wellbeing of our people is always at the forefront of our priorities.

We recognise and reward initiative and boldness; value curiosity and appreciate the opportunities in challenges. Never satisfied with standing still, we are on a voyage that aims to push the limits of possibility in our industry.

During the recent Covid crisis we had retained all our employees. This is a strong indication of the company’s commitment to our workforce and we are proud of our corporate culture.

Steel is fundamental to modern-day life:

The sustainability of any business lasts only till it serves the needs of its clients. Consider manufacturing something very fundamental to human existence on earth and is part of the basic necessities such as food, clothing and shelter; such is the role steel plays in our modern lives.

Life on earth presently depends on steel. Cars, buildings, infrastructure, ships and energy generating systems, and home appliances that we use every day like stove, ovens and refrigerators, are all made primarily from steel.  Trains are made of steel and so are the rails they run on. The roofs of the stations that they operate out of is also made from steel. From zip fasteners and the cutlery that we eat with, to the enormous bridges that never need painting and ever-taller skyscrapers, steel enables so much that we take for granted.

But it goes further than that. Consider for a moment the textiles we clothe ourselves with, the glass that lets light into our homes, the smartphones we use and the wood that we use for furniture. Each depends on steel in the manufacturing process because the machines and tools that make the fabrics and the glass, and which enable us to cut and shape the timber, are all made of steel.

So if you consider it, a career in steel is really a career that’s about making modern life possible. It’s a way of life that enables you to truly ‘create your world’.
