All good things start with a dream. The dream becomes a vision. The vision becomes a plan. The plan becomes a reality. The genesis of Al Kawther Steel is the result of the evolution of one such dream. (along with state of Qatar)
With the successfully completion of my university degree and a heart full of dreams I had returned to Qatar from the United States of America. Having secured a public job on my return, it is here that I laid the foundations of my management and leadership capabilities. After a successful career in the public service, I aspired to follow my dreams of creating a successful business and founded my first business that was engaged in importing and selling trucks, machinery and heavy equipment. We had achieved good profits and suffered some losses, like in any business, but these losses did not diminish my resolve, and did not hinder my determination to continue my business pursuits. To hedge the risks, I had decided to diversify into new lines of business.
My first business diversification venture was the establishment of Al Kawther Transportation Company. Having faced significant challenges since the start of this company, the efforts of our team of administrators, technicians and workers, led by the CEO, Mr. Mohamed Ayoub Ali Akbar created momentum for the company’s operations. I am proud to say this company has developed and has become a distinguished presence in the Qatari market, by providing the best services to its valued customers with highest ethical standards as embedded in its code with honesty and sincerity.
To further my diversification initiatives, I had decided to step into manufacturing and established Al Kawther Steel and Building Factory. The company started with the production of insulation and some small-scale manufacturing efforts in the field of Steel manufacturing, but the company suffered heavy losses at the beginning of its journey.
The financial and operational challenges continued until fate brought me together with a group of honorable brothers who with their vast expertise in the field of steel manufacturing, business administration and financial management joined us and took over the company, this was headed by Mr. Jayakumar Nadar the CEO and mastermind of the company, and Mr. Mohamed Moideen Kundil and Mr. Abdul Razak as our technical directors. With the efforts of these honorable brothers, our CEO started the steel manufacturing company with one production unit. From the success he and his team brought about we added additional production lines and implemented more advanced machinery and efficient production strategies.
The company has thus grown to its highest levels in manufacturing of steel and its efficient production at the state of Qatar, where we strive to use advanced technology to deliver a superior product conforming with international standards and QCS standards to our elite customers, whilst providing secure environment for work. During the recent Covid crisis we had retained all our employees. This is a strong indication of the company’s commitment to our workforce and I am proud of our corporate culture.
In conclusion, I raise my hand in praise and thanks to the almighty. I extend my heartfelt thanks, appreciation and respect to all my employees with counting in all contributions, small and large, and salute to all our valued customers who have continued with their generous cooperation and support towards us in all stages of our growth and expansion.
